Creative spaces with artists at the university
A training programme for teaching staff at the UAB Faculty of Education, bringing artistic thinking into university teaching through eight encounters with visual and performing artists.
Art is not only about producing works. It is also about observing differently, interrupting habits, questioning what we take for granted, asking new questions and imagining possibilities that do not yet exist.
The artists will share strategies from their own research. Drawing, movement, words, voice, objects, poetry, mark-making and collective creation will become tools for exploring different ways of thinking, relating to one another and building knowledge. These experiences invite participants to try more open, participatory and critical teaching approaches connected to contemporary challenges.
No previous artistic experience is required. Teaching staff from all disciplines and fields of knowledge are welcome.
